Bhindi Dal




INGREDIENTS:
Bhindi - 10 chopped into small pieces
Green chilli - 3
Tamarind - 1 lime size
Toor dal -1/2 cup
Oil - 2 tbs
Turmeric - 1/2 tbs
Salt to taste
Water - 1/2 cup
Chopped cilantro to garnish
Seasoning:
Mustard seeds - 1 tbs
channa dal - 1/2 tbs
urad dal - 1 /2 tbs
curry leaves - 4
METHOD:
Wash the toor dal.
Cook the toor dal with pressure cooker with water & oil .
Soak the tamarind in 1 cup of water for 15 mins & squeeze it out by adding little water.
Heat oil in pan and add mustard seeds, channa dal & urad dal once it creeks add curry leaves,Green chilli & add bhindi & fry it until it becomes little brown & then add little water let it cook for 10 or 15 mins & then add the tamarind water in it. let it cook for another 10 mins.
Add cooked toor dal in it let it cook for 15 or 20 mins & then add salt.
Garinsh the dal with chopped cilantro & serve it hot with rice or chapati.
