Palak dal


INGREDIENTS:
Onion - 1
Tomato - 2
Washed & chopped palak - 1/2 cup
Green chilli - 3 nos
Toor dal or Chann dal - 1 cup
Mustard seeds - 1 tbs
Jeera - 1 tbs
Hing - pinch
salt for taste
Whole red chilli - 2 nos
Garlic - 5 nos
oil - 2 tbs
Curry leaves - 4 nos
Chopped corainder leaves for garnish
METHOD:
Wash the dal & add one spoon of oil & tumeric and let it cook in pressure for 3 whistle.
Heat pan add 1 tbs of oil. Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds & jeera. On crackle add hing , red chilli, curry leaves & garlic.
Add green chilli & chopped onion and fry nicely until it becomes brown in colour & then add chopped tomato let it cook for 5 or 7 mins.
Add chopped palak to the pan let it cook for 5 mins & then add the cooked dal let it cook for 10 mins & then add salt for taste.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves while serving.
